OUR MISSION: To offer counseling, care and on-going support as an alternative to abortion for women in a crisis pregnancy.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

• Pray for God’s wisdom and provision of finances as PCC works together to save the babies that might otherwise be aborted.
• Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel through counseling and the different classes PCC offers.
• Pray for preparations for Annual Spring Banquet, April 15, 2010
• Pray for Volunteer Training in March– pray for new volunteers and for those trained to become more active.
• Pray for a hedge of protection for those coming in with domestic violence – may they come to know the LOVE OF JESUS and receive the help needed.
• Pray that churches would be open to Abstinence Teems ministering to their youth.
• Pray for our country – that the hearts of our citizens would move toward life.

A 7.3 magnitude quake rocked Haiti on Tuesday causing widespread devastation to the island and in the capital, Port-au-Prince. An eyewitness at the scene reported that the city was “gray with dust.”

World Relief is responding immediately: Donate now to help the most vulnerable – families and children – in the immediate aftermath. Emergency kits will be distributed that will include items such as ready-to-eat food, water and a blanket. Time is critical. Please respond with any amount you are able to give.

World Relief works alongside local churches, delivering vital aid in the name of Jesus.

The Silent Earthquake

For more than the past decade, Haiti has suffered from the ravages of a silent earthquake – the aftershocks of widespread poverty.

Most of Haiti’s population lives on less than $2 a day. To ward off hunger pains, Haitians have been known to eat mud cakes.

For the many Haitians already living on the margin, when a natural disaster like yesterday’s earthquake strikes, the effect is exponential.

FOCUS OF THE MONTH:

Mitch Glaser is the president of Chosen People Ministries, which was started in 1894 in Brooklyn by Rabbi Leopold Cohn. It was then known as The American Board of Missions to the Jews. Rabbi Cohn accepted Jesus and was gripped with the need to reach Jewish people with the Good News. With outreaches today in thirteen countries, Jewish and Gentile believers join together to bring the Good News to the Jewish people.

Please pray for Mitch as he leads the International work from New York City. Both he and Zhava have extensive experience in ministry to the Jewish people, both in the US and abroad, with a great burden for the City; Mitch was born in Brooklyn and raised in New York. He became a believer in 1970, graduated from Northeastern Bible College, as well as Talbot School of Theology, and earned a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies.

Zhava is multi-lingual and orig inally from Argentina. She earned a bachelor’s in Judaic Studies at the University of Southern California and a Master’s Degree in Missions from Fuller Seminary. She is the Director of Publications as well as manages the website for Chosen People Ministries. They have two daughters in graduate school, Miriam and Jenni.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

• Messianic leaders in Moscow – for the work to grow as Jewish people seek to connect with their spiritual roots after so many years of repression under Communism.
• Soviet Union Jewish people in Chicago area – pray for Kirill Swiderski and his family as they minister in that area.
• Brooklyn Messianic Center – pray they continue to bear fruit through worship services and special outreach programs to Russian Jews.
• Victor & Julia B. receiving further training at the Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies – preparing to return to Israel to resume their ministry.
• “To the Jew First” Advancement Campaign – to enable expansion of staff, facilities and ministries around the world, seeking to bring the Good News to even more Jewish people.

Opening of a new Church in Rome – On June 20th, we celebrated the opening of the new Christian Church in Rome in a building that can host 650 people!  This church building that had been closed for over 10 years! After much prayer and a meeting with the landlord, the Lord gave us the go-ahead and we signed the contract to rent the building for the next 10 years!

Abruzzo Earthquake April 2009 – For most of the survivors of the Italy earthquake the future seems uncertain.  Now, months after the disaster, the majority is still displaced in hotel rooms or camps set up on the edge of their ruined towns.  Each day is a monotonous waiting game as they try to picture a future in a region where the infrastructure was so badly damaged.  On a positive note, they do have access to everything they need for survival: food, water, shelter and medical care.  But much more than that is needed for life to return to normal. Pray for God’s provision, spiritual awakening for those being cared for and wisdom for the teams involved in this ongoing project.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

1. Please pray for the thousands of people who continue to call in to our 800 lines requesting how they too can have a personal relationship with Jesus. Although the program has completed the spring airing, all the programs are still available over our website, www.drittoalcuore.tv also pray for funding to continue this unique tool the Lord has given us to reach into millions of Italian homes. Without this, we will not be able to go back on in the fall!.
2. Please pray for Gaetano & Sondra’s support so that they can focus on evangelism and reaching the Italian people with the Gospel of Christ.
3. Pray for the 36,000 people waiting for a place to live in the earthquake area.  We are working hard to provide these homes before winter.
4. Pray for the ministry that we will be able to continue with our calendar of events, that we can raise enough funding to carry out everything He has planned.
5. Please remember to pray for all our precious supporters throughout this economic downfall, that the Lord will provide for them, that they will be blessed and be a blessing to help continue the work of Italy for Christ. www.italyforchrist.it.
